Hans Opperman's
P.O. Box 265 Grootfontien, Namabia Ph.264-67-232629 Fax 264-67-232628 Email wildernis@mweb.com.na Hans Opperman has outstanding truly wild safaris in north-eastern Namibia. Just 100 kilometers south of the Caprivi Strip this ranch adjoins bushman land on the east side and the world renown Eden Wildlife Conservancy on the west. With almost 50,000 huntable acres available without leaving the ranch this is by far one of the best hunting areas I have seen in the last 10 years, lots of game and outstanding Namibian sunsets make this my current favorite hunting destination.
Hans at the lodge
While Hans claims Eland to be his #1 trophy animal on the ranch I saw great Kudu( many over 55" including the 60"+ bruiser in the pic. above) plus abundant leopard and hyena sign. Other plains game was everywhere I looked and while I was strictly bow hunting shot opportunities came everyday. The biggest bonus had to be Hansies mother Maria, I usually lose weight on a hunt but she managed pack at least 10 pounds on me with her lavish meals and deserts. Why hunt in a small South African enclosure when you can hunt here safely and still enjoy the true African bush. Check out the great daily and trophy fee rates Hans is offering below.
Daily Rates 1x1 plains game $350 per day 2x1 plains game $275 per day 1x1 Leopard ( August1 thru September15) $600 per day Daily rate includes all meals, skinners, trackers, trophy preparation, transport during the hunt and airport pickup/return from Windhoek International Airport.
