Hunting from BlindsSouth African Bow Hunting Hides

We offer the patient hunter the opportunity to experience the African bush in the comfort of a functionally designed hide. Our hides provide an 120 degree shooting angle, using one of three shooting holes, in order to maximize the opportunity of getting your ideal trophy, and also to enable you to acquire the perfect line for your arrow. The inclusion of one way mirrors in the hides provide an 360 degree of sight right around the near vicinity of the blind, which enables the hunter to observe the superb species of the African Bushveld in their natural surroundings. Most of our trophies are hunted from blinds.

Kirabo Game Lodge also offers our clients the opportunity to those more adventurous at heart to experience the thrill of walking and stalking. The excitement, adrenalin and satisfaction of hunting on foot in Africa will be an unforgettable experience. Walking through the bush while stalking game will allow you to experience the wonderfully unique fauna and flora found on the ranch. The abundance of bird life in the region will ensure added pleasure to every hunter that loves nature.

During the winter months (June through August) temperatures as low as 2–12°C (36-54°F) can be expected with highs of 16–24°C (61-75°F). April, May, September and October are warm (20–30°C or 68-86°F). November to March is hot (28–38°C or 82-100°F) with occasional thundershowers.

Comfortable safari clothing is advised. Be sure to bring at least one very warm jacket and a set of gloves to brave the winter mornings. For the summer months light clothing is advised.

The thatched lodge is an exquisite oasis in harmony with the natural surroundings of indigenous Bushveld. The interior of the entire lodge is characterised by quality hand- and purpose-made rosewood and teak furniture. An aura of warmth and elegance pervades the comfortable lounge with kudu leather couches, ostrich egg chandeliers and a fireplace to provide the perfect atmosphere for cool winter evenings. At night gemsbuck horn lamps will lead you in the dark – all adding to the unique atmosphere and experience.
